AICC represents, and protects, the business interests of our members in the independent sector of the corrugated, folding carton, and rigid box industries.
AICC held its first national meeting in the fall of 1974 at the Stouffer’s Riverfront Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri. The 90 attendees represented fifty-four companies. They were united by a need to survive, and to set the mission that would serve independent box plant owners and operators. Ultimately, a purpose emerged and AICC’s influence grew within the industry. It was in these early years that AICC focused on the supply of paper to independents and on the issue of competitiveness, the development of a “level playing field” for independent owners.
Today AICC hosts National meetings and 8-10 topical meetings around the country each year. Attendance at these programs ranges from 40-150 people. Recent topics include the digital print market, building business relationships, and M&A. These Summits offer the business information boxmakers need to thrive. All summits also offer significant networking opportunities and the chance to connect with peers.
