IT STARTED AS AN IDEA

In 2009, a group of University researchers began the development of a fully immersive, consumer experience laboratory to quantify packaging design. In an attempt to reduce the ambiguity and reliance on purely qualitative data, CUshop™ was constructed at the Harris A. Smith Building on the campus of Clemson University to pilot and confirm various biometric devices that could advance the packaging industry. Created in this ecosystem as a University startup, Package InSight, LLC is now a stand alone company which studies package performance, consumer attention and shelf impact. Package InSight incorporates the latest in biometric technology, such as mobile eye-tracking and adheres to a strict methodology that has been published in multiple academic journals, reviewed by blind peer-review processes, and is trusted by numerous consumer packaged goods companies.
